Looking for the best websites for beautiful photography and images for your business? Gone are the days where finding quality imagery was an extremely difficult and long process. Nowadays there are so many amazing websites for stock photography!
Stock photography and imagery
If you just aren’t ready to invest in brand photography, supplementing some beautiful photos from stock photography websites is the next best thing. There are a wide range of photography sites to choose from, including many stock photography sites that offer free images.
Whether you decide to go with free or paid photography, make sure that you selectively choose photos and images that reflect your brand colours, style and overall feel of your brand. Here are my choices for the best photography resource websites for businesses.
Moyo Studio
Moyo Studio oozes dream photography for those looking for photo mockups and customisable design kits! Known for their gorgeous mockups, stunning flatlays and design-led images, it’s easy to make your products and services look amazing when using their photography. Have a look at my portfolio to see how I have used some of their mockups to display my designs.
Stocksy
If you are looking for authentic stock photography and video with a unique look and feel, then Stocksy is the place for you. They house a very large photo & video database of highly curated, exclusive images & video that you won’t find on other stock websites. As for pricing, this changes depending on the image/video and the artist. You definitely get what you pay for, and Stocksy brings the goods!
iStock
An oldie, but a good, iStock has been around for years, and still continues to produce high quality photos, illustrations and video to make you stand out. To find imagery, they have a great search function, where you can hone in on exactly what you are looking for, and also save to a board so you don’t lose any amazing images. iStock has various prices and plans to choose from, making it easy to purchase a once-off image, or lock yourself in for a better deal.
Unsplash
This is one of my favourite free stock photography sites. They have a great selection of photos across a range of topics, and Unsplash even allows you to create a shot list of your favourite photos. All photos are free to use, but they do have a great option to credit the photographer, which is a great idea to recognise those talented individuals.
Pexels
Similar to Unsplash, Pexels is a free stock photography website, however their main difference is that they also have a massive catalogue of videos. You are able to like and save imagery and videos so that you can find them later on. As with Unsplash, giving credit to the photographer or Pexels is not necessary but always appreciated.
Freepik
Freepik has a great amount of quality graphic resources, including illustrations, photos, icons, mockups and presentation templates. There are a lot of free resources, however in the past few years, they have started to charge for their “premium” content. Still worthwhile checking it out!
The Noun Project
The Noun Project is the most comprehensive icon collection I have come across. And they don’t stop there – they also have a huge range of quality photography. If you are looking for beautifully-simplistic icons for your website or printed collateral, or a professionally curated collection of authentic images, then look no further. With over 7 million members (you need an account to download their goods), they must be onto something good!

Professional brand photography
An an investment into your business, professional photography is highly recommended to create a streamlined look and feel across your brand. Professional photographers are able to capture beautiful headshots of you and your team, stylish product shots and really capture your business’ voice.
Once you have made the investment into professional photography, you will then be able to use those photos across your website, social media platforms and other promotional audiences. It’s a win-win!
There are quite a few amazing photographers out there, and I recommend doing your homework to ensure that you find the perfect photographer that suits your personal and business style. Here in Newcastle NSW (where I call home) there are a few great options, including The Branding Photographers. I’m so keen to have a photography session so that I can streamline my own photography.
